Steering Committee

To coordinate the GDRE research project, the Parties form a Steering Committee. This committee includes one representative from each Party who is not a member of the GDRE.

The GDRE Steering Committee’s responsibilities include providing advice on the GDRE research project which is prepared by the Coordinator and on the progress of the research work, suggesting adjustments as necessary;
 deciding to incorporate new laboratories into the GDRE after consulting with the Scientific Management Committee;
 proposing modifications to the present Agreement.

The Steering Committee meets at least once every two 2 years or at the request of one-quarter of its members. It shall be chaired on a rotating basis by one of its members. It shall appoint one secretary per meeting.

The GDRE Coordinator shall attend the Steering Committee meetings in an advisory capacity.
